Uses Of Rivet Nuts

Leave a message

If a product's nut needs to be installed on the outside, but the internal space is too small for the press head of a riveting machine to enter for press riveting, and methods like riveting by pulling or rigging cannot achieve the required strength, then press riveting and expansion riveting are not feasible. Riveting must be used. It is suitable for fastening plates and pipes of various thicknesses (0.5mm-6mm). Using a pneumatic or manual rivet gun, it can rivet in one go, conveniently and securely; it replaces traditional welded nuts, overcoming the shortcomings of thin metal plates and pipes, such as easy melting during welding and the unevenness of welded nuts.

Rivet nuts are mainly used in non-structural load-bearing bolted connections, such as the connection of interior parts in rail passenger cars, highway passenger cars, and ships. Improved anti-rotation rivet nuts are superior to aircraft pallet nuts, with advantages such as lighter weight, no need for pre-riveting pallet nuts, and usability even when there is no operating space on the back of the substrate.
