What is a bolt?

Leave a message

A bolt (an anchor) is a fastener consisting of a head and a threaded shank, primarily used in machinery manufacturing and construction engineering. Its core function is to connect and secure parts with through holes by engaging with a nut, anchoring the connected parts to a concrete substrate.

The fastener's main body consists of a head and a threaded shank. The shank is cylindrical and has external threads, which must pass through the through hole of the connected part before screwing it into the nut. As a derivative of bolts, anchors are commonly used for anchoring connections between steel structures and concrete foundations to enhance structural stability.
