Tension-controlled riveting determines the axial load required for complete plastic deformation of the rivet nut's deformation zone through testing and sets this tension value on the tool for riveting. This process avoids the influence of plate thickness and ensures quality.
Standard installation steps include selecting a matching gun head and rivet bolt according to the nut size during installation, checking and adjusting the tool to ensure the rivet nut is perpendicular after insertion into the pre-drilled hole, pressing the tool handle to complete the riveting, and checking the perpendicularity, appearance, and thread quality after installation.
When professional tools are unavailable, a simple riveting process can be performed using a matching long screw, washer, and nut with a wrench. However, this method is mainly suitable for softer, round rivet nuts.
