Reamed Anchors
Reamed anchors achieve anchoring of structural components by enlarging the concrete at the bottom of the borehole. The mechanical interlock between the resulting concrete slope and the anchor's expansion cone creates a secure connection. The anchoring force of reamed anchors primarily arises from the direct pressure between the expansion cone and the concrete bore, rather than solely from indirect expansion friction; therefore, the expansion pressure is relatively low.

Reamed anchors are classified according to the reaming method:

1. Pre-reamed Ordinary Anchors: The borehole is pre-reamed using a specialized drilling tool.

2. Self-reaming Special Anchors: These anchors have built-in tools and automatically ream the borehole during installation, completing the reaming and installation in one step.

 

Bonded Anchors
Bonded anchors use a special chemical adhesive (anchoring glue) to bond the threaded rod and internally threaded tube to the drilled hole in the concrete substrate. Anchoring is achieved through the bonding and locking action between the adhesive and the anchor, and between the adhesive and the concrete borehole wall.
